| In every environment there is a level and type of noise that is
sometimes referred to as the "baseline symphony". It is the regular noise of
birds, animals and wind that goes on when things are normal. Any change in
that "baseline" is an indication of something out of the ordinary going on,
such as an actively hunting predator moving through the area. Conversely,
when we move through an area, we disturb this baseline symphony. Animals are
aware of this baseline symphony. Our own awareness of the changes that we
create can help us minimize our effects as we move. |
